A Family Adventure- Ponce Inlet, FL

There are many reasons why I love my husband. One of them is because he truly believes in me. Another is his almost annoyingly trait of being optimistic in any life situation. But I understand where that comes from - Christ. His relationship with God and his life experiences have taught him an understanding of making the most in any situation, because we only have so much time on this earth - so why spend it upset/ angry / frustrated. When instead you can be joyful / excited/ positive. Now don’t misunderstand- there are many times when he feels the opposite of joyful (he is human after all) - but he knows he can make a choice to continue to try and be positive and enjoy the evening with his family, instead of being upset—-or whatever situation he is in. So of course going on five years of being married to him, and almost 8 years of dating, it’s slowly rubbed off on me—-slowly—;)

I am GRATEFUL for that though. Because looking at these photos you probably would have never guessed 30 minutes before this I was really upset, and frustrated. Jon got home from a really long day, and said “ get dressed, grab your camera, let’s go have some fun!” Turns out that’s exactly what I needed. I ended up capturing images I’ll cherish, and had a BLAST doing it! We drove down to Ponce Inlet, windows down, music playing (any Thomas Rhett fans?!), sun beginning to set, and I decided (Yes! This is definitely how I want to spend my evening and my life!) —- I’m a work in progress —- just like everyone else in life — which is so cool to me! Side-note—- Kai turned 8 months old on Wednesday! CRAZY! Love Bug we love you so, so much—- and now have photographic proof of your dad in prime shape ;) for those later years
